Pesticide Drift

Overview

Pesticide drift is the unintentional diffusion of pesticides and the potential negative affects of the pesticide application. This can be off-target contamination of spray drift and run-off from plants and soil. This can lead to damage of human health, environmental contamination and property damage.

Significance to Tribes

• Homes are located within or next to agricultural fields being sprayed; and,
• Tribal lands bordering state or federal lands where spraying is active.
